University campuses’ role in accelerating the natural urban transformation process

University campuses have proven to play a significant role in the production of cities due their impact as knowledge and innovation hubs. Therefore, this paper examines caused by building new suburban areas see what extent campus can affect transformation process its respective city. Kyushu University’s Ito area was selected be analysed using space syntax, spacematrix Mixed-use index since 1993 till 2017. Results shown that after establishment, urbanization started expanded throughout it limited accessible parts around major routes stations. location is considered vital decision needs taken with engagement city, stakeholders, business owners harness successful campus-city relationship.
